Caretaker Opportunities
Caretaker Opportunities at the following East Bay Regional Park District sites are being offered. Please submit letter of interest outlining recent caretaker experience, three references, and explanation of why you think you would be qualified for this role. Responsibilities vary by site and are included in the attached exhibits. Future site visits and interviews will be arranged after review of letters of interest.
Big Break Regional Shoreline
Deadline to file June 1, 2010, available nowLocation is off Big Break Road in Oakley, California. Caretaker will provide stand alone living accommodations such as a travel trailer, water, electrical, sewage available; the District will provide an on-site parking pad that will accommodate one travel trailer up to 40’ by 12’ and no more than two motorized vehicles.

Brooks Island Regional Preserve
Deadline to file June 15, 2010, available July 2010Location is in the San Francisco Bay near Point Potrero in Richmond, California. District will provide an unfurnished modular home on the island. Projects of a scientific, research, or conservation nature may be proposed by the District or the Caretaker with the approval of the District.

Vasco Caves Regional Preserve
Deadline to file, July 1, 2010, available September 2010Location is on Vasco Road, Contra Costa County, California. District will provide an unfurnished one-bedroom Stuart Lodge near the Caves for use by the Caretaker. This residence has low electric conditions and is powered by a solar system with a generator as back up for cloudy days.
